Enjoy the ride. How does it looks for accommodations? Renting a house?
i have a cabin hour from maggie so i go back and forth several time yearly... been every month except january i think... know the weather well... stay in georgia one nite on way up and they are wide open.i think.. buddy of mine in asheville says NC is for the most part open for travel but not many people out... very few bikes ... some roads closed around dragon and murphy area.. couple counties closed off to visitors but not mine... ..441 thru the park closed... parkway open... will find out what its like and spread the word when i return... 2 friends coming down from KY to join me... adventures !! love it... really going to work on cabin but i'm sure a little riding will happen too...half the fun is the ride up
well ok then.. i am back after 7 nights in the NC mountains... 3 of us rode each day except one when it was cold, wet, and nasty... otherwise, weather was great... 45 or so in mornings and up to 60 in afternoon with sunshine most days... the best was of course our last when we rode wayah road again from franklin over to bryson and back..clear and 70... counties are easy to travel... cops do not bother you... cherokee res is closed off , parkway and 441 thru the park was closed but otherwise just as always.. a few bikes there but then again........... no trouble finding food on our rides as long as we carried out and sat on benches most eateries had put out...glad we were able to getaway together and already looking forward to a july repeat with more of us....so there it is... bu the way... dont tell too many about the wayah road ride... it has turned into my favorite.. later...
Glad it worked out for you. Next time ride the Rattler from Maggie Valley to Hot Springs. You will thank me for this tip.
