THANKS again DGD, GREAT ONE!!!!
) One ride Ive done over the years...Leave Athens on SR550 heading east, sleepy towns like Amesville, and a BP in Sharpsburg where you can gasup, buy a giaint *****, a samurai sword and a vintage Revell Model kit.
Really.
Left on SR339 near Belpre, then right on SR776 East at Watertown, long curvy cruise that heads into high country, stop at Churchtown for a long view in every direction, beautiful.
Before this road ends you find yourself perched above Harmar Village and Marietta OH. At the stop sign / gas station, go couple blocks east to Lookout Point, great view of Rivers
SR676 drops into Harmar Village, cool little historic town along the Muskingum and Ohio Rivers. Eat at the Boathouse right on the river, or the Harmar Tavern.. GREAT EATS!!!
Visit Marietta while you are there.
Fun stuff. And yes, that is an 'Olde Frothingslosh' can on my chopper holding my electrics. That's "Miss Frothingslosh" on the front. Her name is Fatima Yechburg. Google it.
Added to the new map...

The route starts in France, on Utah beach, and ends in Bastogne, Belgium (passing briefly though Luxembourg). Its around 712 miles long (1,146 kilometers) long.
The mileposts along the route are known as bornes. It follows the approximate route that General Pattons 3rd Army took during the Liberation of France.
Additional info to be found through this link
In Bastogne (Belgium) you will find 101st Airborne Division Museum, the Bastogne War Museum and the Mardasson WWII American Soldiers Memorial
