This has been discussed here before - and, as I recall, there is/was not a feature to import rotes to Harley Ride Planner.
I was planning a trip and already has a route in Honda Powersports and was hoping to create the same route in Ride Planner. When I went there - to my surprise, there is not an import feature and I was able to import the already created map.

Correction meant to say - There is now an import feature
I recall putting that ride planner app on my phone shortly after I got this bike. When I tried to use it however it screwed up my iphone passwords/accounts so I quickly took it off. Anyone else have that problem?

I am not having that issue - how long ago did you put it on your phone.
There have been a number of changes - and, with the advent of import, I am going back to use ride planner a bit more

no problem with accounts but running the app simply destroys battery life in a very short period of time. Only way to run the app while riding is to have the phone plugged into the USB port.

Do you actually run the app while riding?
If i have a planned route on the app, I simply send it to my nav system. Seems to work quite well.
I do have my phone plugged in by was of USB port- this way I can stream my XM and, also use android auto if I want

Maybe it's improved since '17. I don't recall the details but I remember it messing up some settings and what not on my phone. Perhaps I'll take another look at it when I get a chance.
the other thing is the app doesnt seem to run when Im using CarPlay. Do you find the same?

Are you asking if the Ride Planner runs when using car play? If such is the case, you are correct - seems we can only run one at a time. Even in my vehicles, if I run android auto, I can not run my vehicle internal GPS.
I can however run both google maps and Waze - seems I can toggle between the two.
