LOL!!! TY. What u don't know my friend is that tho I live here in S. Fl., I (up until abt 4-5 yrs back) would ride yearly to the 4 corners of the USA and end to end in Canada or some combo thereof. FUN rides. Meeting up with many of my peeps.

One time, I guy in Montana I think said I was far from home. I thought for a moment my friend mnbnd, and said that I see all of the USA and CA as my backyard. NVR really thought I was far from home.

I guess it is all relative.

Hey Buzz. If you want some great back road directions from Florida up to the great north, I posted up my route from the 2010 Hoka Hey here.
http://www.hdforums.com/forum/nation...directons.html

It'll take on the road less traveled and through some fantastic (and and not so fantastic) scenery with plenty of twisties along the way.

I believe you can catch a ferry to Ketchikan someplace along the Al-Can south of Destruction Bay.

What a bucket list trip to fill. I dream of doing something like this. My health might keep me from doing a AK trip but I will travel more if I still can when I retire. I want to cross the country and see the Rockies, Canadian and USA. Now that we have a trike it seems more doable...by the time I retire I will trade it for a newer one and go.
Good ride to you and have a freaking blast. Life is too short. I always say, Next thing you know, you’ll wake up dead so do it.

THANKS!!

I heard something about ferrying early BEFORE the Yukon area. Funi thing tho..... I feel like I am cheating myself outta the GREAT ride up and around into AK. LOL! I know, it may sound a bit dumb.

South of Destruction Bay still seems too far inland into the SW part of the Yukon. BUT, it is worthy at least looking at. GOOD point....ty for that.

Regarding your FL map..........1stly CONGRATs on a Hoka Hey...GEEPERS! I do some **** like IBA but the Hoka Hey, honestly is too much for me. Sleeping outside by my bike? I use a CPAP. LOL! Geepers man!

'n when leaving FL since I live here, it is a straight shot OUT! Aaaah, with a stop at Paul Gantz BBQ in Port St Joe.

Right. Man NGU, do it asap I would suggest. I too am having health issues and that is likely my biggest concern. Esp., going to AK solo.

You will LIKE the rockies no matter, no matter, no matters where you cross them.

I shamefully admit that you will be passing through the land of ***** libtard governed. There would be mass hysteria among the wimps that the rest of us have to tolerate up here if they even thought you were armed. Sorry mate, dearly wish we could carry too

Unless it’s changed, you use to be able to get a transit permit to take a gun into Canada. I think you needed to provide your itinerary and pay a fee. I also think it was a fairly long process to get approval but could be done.

I think you can get a slingshot carry permit in Canada now pretty easily.

All good by me. Though I'd hate to miss all that BC has to offer, I'd take the ferry up and by-pass Canada altogether.
