Default Daytona Bike week
67 degrees here today,got me thinking about Daytona. Gonna go ahead and make my reservations. Just a four hour ride for us, anybody else got the itch.

There are 3 of us, riding buddies for the past 20 years. We have ridden down to bike week every march and will do so again this year. 2 of us are from nw Va and one from pa.

I've been going since '85. These days, it's only a 100 mi. ride so I'll be running around there when the weather looks best.

Trailering my bike down to SW Florida in about 3 weeks. Staying at sister's place. Will then ride up to Bike Week about 3 weeks later with BIL. 200+ mile ride. Booked motel about 3 weeks ago. Looking forward to it.

We are talking about a day ride. Being only 120 miles away we can do it as a day trip. I have been so many times that it is not quite as interesting as it used to be.

We also have been many, many times. May I suggest going to see something different:

Sons of Speed vintage motorcycle racing at New Smyrna Speedway 1/2 mile track.

We are in again this year after missing the last two. The weather is always a crap shoot. Have never trailered! One year we left as the snow was falling. Most years we rode with heated gear. The last year down, 2019 was the best weather ever. No heated gear, no rain gear, but COVID! I remember being at the HD display at the speedway and they told us they were shutting down. I asked why and the guy looked at me like a fool and said COVID.

I sure wish the bike demo’s would come back to the speedway.
