Natchez trip
Spent 2 wks in Smokey's and the Carolinas in August. All the pics of the Trace got us to thinking of riding the Trace next. Coming up the west side of Fl. and thinking of picking up 84 west out of Thomasville, taking it west to the southern end then head north to Nashville for a coule days before heading back south to Fl. What can anyone tell me about 84. Good secondary road, stop light heaven, pack a weapon, etc. Any good suggestions for south bound out of Nashville. to Talledega to Fl. Thanks for any info.

I've takin hwy 84 many times going back to Mississippi from Florida. It's a nice ride through the state. The roads are all pretty good with some senery. I'd watch out for the deer at dusk and dawn. You may also get behind a few log trucks or tractors, but it's a good ride.

Thanks for reply, thought we were going to go mid Oct. but today looks like I'm going to be busy till after the first of the year. So will likely postpone til spring, likely mid May always liked that time anyhow. Mapquest works great but can't give you those kind of answers. Tx again.
