Me and two others are looking to follow the mighty Miss, starting at Maybe St.Louis, maybe hop a paddle boat with the Harley's on the deck head downstream, kick the bikes off and travel back up the eastside of the river north again. Has anybody done this? Is it possible to ferry the bikes any distance and have some fun while floating down the river? Probably sometime in late June or early August for a week. Throw some stuff at me if ya can,thanks..Hdal from Mich..
Well, I don't know if this will lead anywhere or not, but in October lots of paddlewheel boats will meet in Cincinnati for the "Tall Stacks" festival. http://www.tallstacks.com . I know this is later than your trip, but the site may allow you to contact some of the riverboat people (lots of them are Mississippi River based). The festival is really cool. 300 different short cruises to board. Plus the music on shore is great. Last year BB King made it!
Great photo ops of all the sternwheelers.
