Had an appreciation ride for past Riders Edge classes in Boerne, Texas today. Great get together then did a 100+ mile ride in the south central area near Boerne to Lukenbach. Our road captain (Mike) had a few extra side roads he know of to take which gave me (and I am a veteran of Texas) a new look on my state. Just picture perfect scenery. Our group was quite a group with great personalities. Had a blast and look forward to next years reunion. If interested, got the map and can scan and post it for anyone in the general area wishing to see some excellant county settings.
That really looks like fun. We've ridden a bunch down that way. At first glance it reminded me of one of many routes from the Ride TX RIde Guide, but I don;t think it is.
If you don't have a copy of the Ride TX ride book (white cover / red spiral binding), you should really get one. There are a ton of great ride (espically in that vicinity) that you'd probably never stumble across. The book is more than worth the cost. In fact, I've bought two revisions just to see if there was anything new.
