Been going to Alice's since the 1960's. Recommend Rick's Special on the breakfast menu. Named after Rick, a rather volatile owner/cook years back. Once saw him get into a beef with a guy that criticized his chili. The Mexican Scramble is also very good...much like Rick's but with a little spice. Also recommend Highway 9 from the south. The coast, Highway 1 is also a great ride. Check for fog in the mornings though.

It's not the same one Arlo sings about...that's in Mass but it's still a great place.

In La Honda, that would be Jacks, a local bar. A little rustic...

I've probably been to the intersection where Alice's is a couple hundred times. It's a meeting place of sorts for bikes of all kinds, mostly sport bikes. If you're there during the week it's no bid deal. Food at Alice's is good but no biggy.
From there, go down to the coast and go to Pescadero. Look on your map and turn left off 84 just befor you hit the coast. It will take you to Pescadero. If you miss it, go to the coast, turn left and look for the sign to Pescaderao.
Treat yourself to an artichoke omlette at Duarte's.

Applejacks.

Hey let me know when you are going to be out here. I am up there all the time. There are lots of awesome rides in the Santa Cruz Mountains. 35 is just one of them. The East Bay is awesome, too. Lots of bike friendly places.

One of my favorite stops! Love the kobe beef burger with jalepenos.
