Me and the guys just got back from eureka springs, AR. We rode from ohio mostly on flat boring I-70, but 44 wasnt too bad out of St. louis . When we finally got to eureka springs it was really good curvy riding with plenty of watering holes around every bend. I highly recomed that anybody check it out.... its a neat little hippy town.
sorry, didnt mean that in a bad way..... it was very nice and seemed to have a lot of heritage. I only had one day to site see so im sure i didnt get to see a lot.
Hell, all of north west, central and most of east AR is great riding. In fact I have read that this is some of the best riding in the country and I sure believe it. This whole area seems to cater to motorcyclist. We rode almost 40 miles one day on nice newly paved county roads without seeing another vehicle. The hospitality is great!!
All of us flatlanders down here in the southwest corner of Arkansas enjoy the trek to the other end of the state. I'm stuck in the river bottom end of Arkansas close to the Texas (across the street, literally)-Louisiana(about 40 miles SW)-Oklahoma(about 40 miles NW) borders, but just 20 miles north starts the hills, and it just gets better from there. The other end of the state by far got the best deal when it comes to riding scoots. Plan to head that way this coming weekend on a poker run from Queen Wilhelmina State Park (second highest point in Arkansas) to Mt. Magazine State Park (highest point in Arkansas). Got reservations at the lodge at Mt. Magazine and the weather man promises beautiful biking weather so my spouse will be a happy camper also. Come on down and join us....we got lots of great roads to ride here in The Natural State...PACO
I went down to Eureka Springs this past June by myself and really enjoyed the trip from the Kansas City area. My wife and I and another couple are going down again over Labor Day. Great town, loads of Harleys everywhere, nice roads, great scenery and nice people. So yup we're goin back.
We went up that way a few weeks ago...Great town...wish we would have planned around spending more time in Eureka Springs. The Rockin Pig Saloon was cool! Will definitely spend more time in Eureka Springs next time! Hopefully you rode the Pig Trail...last couple of miles were just awesome!
