Default 7,100 mile, 21 day, "Wild West" 2009 Tour

Just got back from a round trip from Virginia to "the Wild West", including Sturgis! Here is a link to the pics:

Great trip, no problems, bike ran great, great service for a quick oil change from Black Canyon HD in Montrose, CO. Met lots of great & interesting people across the US!

*** did not get sore at all!! I have the Road Zepplin seat. Had it for five years. Also a sheep skin cover from Alaska Leathers. With that I can ride forever on my Ultra with no discomfort at all!

Yes, it was a great trip. Made it to Sturgis, Snowy Range Pass in Wyoming, lots's in Colorado including Lookout Mountain, Mt Evans, Independance Pass, Monarch Pass, Million Dollar Highway, Ouray, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Great Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde and several other passes, on to Utah for Mexican Hat, Bluff, Moab, Dead Horse Point, Mokee Dugway, Canyonlands, Monument Valley, Natural Bridges. Two real highlights were eating at The Swinging Grill in Mexican Hat and Ted's Tacos in Mancos, Co. Both are places features in Alton Brown's Feasting on Asphalt motorcycle trip he did a couple of years ago on The Food Network. Both places were very authentic and excellent food, service and people!

Looking to do Alaska next summer!!!

Jim
