Was out in Denver for my mother's funeral last month and my sisters boyfriend had an extra metric bike for me to ride. We headed out and rode to Evergreen, had some chow and drinks at Cactus Jacks and then back down through Turkey Creek (?) and by that time, I had a plane to catch.
I love it out there.
You got that right, Koala. I need to find a gig out there, but the wife is ready to move west....FINALLY! I grew up in Miami, FL but I have wanted to go west forever. Our trips to Nevada had me thinking I wanted to live in NV, AZ, NM or somewhere like that but CO is so amazing. Time for a change.

Yep..it's bike paradise, and Evergreen is a bike friendly town. Now if you could only get back and see all of Colorado.
My wife and I have been giving it some serious discussion. Her business can be run from anywhere; me? Not so much. I could go back to LE but I have a good contractor gig working for a 3 letter agency, and all I have to do is teach. If there are any govt. or govt. contractor jobs in CO that I am compatible with, I haven't found them yet. Still on the hunt.
I'm a weapons instructor so IT jobs and office gigs probaby won't work for my skill set. If anyone out there is in the know, please PM or email me.

Lived in Co for 22 years before moving still miss the place. Nothing like riding the mountain roads. If it was over 45 degrees and the roads were clear we were riding. If you make it back to Evergreen check out the Little Bear.

There should be plenty of opportunities for your line of work; Colorado Springs has all kinds of military folks and I've got some folks I can talk to for the Metro Denver area.
