Me and a buddy are taking a 2 or 3 day trip starting and ending in Orlando. Can anyone recomend some routes? Doing some pre-work until my mad maps arrive. Thanks 1st post!
Can you give us any more specifics. When? What you would like to see? How far do you want to ride? What type of riding would you like to do? You might want to post on the FL Crew section with some of the answers and I'm sure you'll get alot of good info.
I like riding along the southern edge of the Ocala National Forest. It's County Road 42 for half of it, and then State Route 42 for the other half. Sorry for the poor quality map that I threw together real fast, but you can see it better on google or whatever.
Just my quick thoughts. I like to incorporate this stretch into any ride that I can when I head north of Orlando.

Trip will be 3 - 4 days in mid to late March. We are not looking for the most technical of routes. I would think 250-300 miles per day would be our limit. Thanks for responding!
You know early March (2/26-3/6) is bike week if you have the felexibility to change dates. As for rides I would ride over towards Daytona one day. I would stop at Destination Daytona see Rosmyers HD and J&P cycles. Then ride the Ormand Loop (you'll find maps of the loop if you google it). The loop is a nice ride, part of it through forest with ancient oak trees the other part along the beach.
Then on another day I would head up towards the Ocala National Forest. I'm sure some others will also have good suggestions and proabably more specifics.
If you want some company let us know when and where and some of the Florida Crew will probably meet up and ride with ya.
