Default Indiana area

A few of us are trying to put something together for early this spring.
We will be leaving from Windsor Ont threw Detroit Mich and heading for Indiana.
Since we have never traveled this state before I was hoping to get so advice or some must see , things to do.
We have no set destination yet so we are open for suggestions. Thanks for any input.

On my way to Sturgis last summer, I was heading west on I64 and ran into a big traffic jam in Louisville, KY. Got off I64 onto US150 into Indiana. Ended up taking US150 to Rt37 thru Bloomington to Rt46 to Terre Haute. A ready nice route and was a great break from the interstates. Great way to travel between I70 and I64 on a motorcycle. That is about all I know of Indiana!!

How far down into Indiana are you interested in coming? The southern part of the state has more hills, offering better rides. The route JimClayPool posted is good. There are some good roads in the northern part, very average roads in the central area, and better roads to the south.

Not sure yet on how far down or in we are going. It all depends on what kind of info we receive. Thanks.

Default French Lick, IN

YOu should go do to French Lick, IN, it is a great resort town, 2 big resort hotels, with a casino. They also have some independent hotels and a comfort suites.

Really nice Harley Davidson shop there, French Lick Harley Davidson right across the street from the French Lick Resort.

If you are going to be in the northwest part of Indiana stop by Kersting's Harley Davidson it's 4 miles south of North Judson on Hwy 39. Nice dealership and they have a very cool motorcycle museum that is worth the trip.

If you like to eat, stop at the EssenHaus in Middlebury IN. It is in northern Indiana. It is beautiful riding from Lawerenceburg, Indiana to Madison, IN along the Ohio river. On your way, stop at Tony Packos, in old town Toledo Ohio. Made famous by Klinger on MASH. There is also Husdon Leather near Bryan Oh. is worth stopping at if you need leather that is price about right. The blue cavern in bedford is worth stopping at. The Oliver Winery north of Bloomington on IN 37 is also a great place to stop. That is a start. Let me know if you need more Ideas. I am currently planning a number of rides for our HOG group.

If you are wanting to stop at a HD Shop Kerstings is it. It is an old school style shop. The museum is nice also. We make a trip there once a year. Not a lot of good riding routes in northern Indiana. I also suggest going south towards Nashville / Bloomington area.
