Our Summer Vacation
Left Baltimore, MD Friday evening, went to Pa. Rally on the River in Northumberland, Pa. Very different motorcycle event, but very fun. 21 and over crowd with totally nude sunbathing and swimming. Events were hilarious. Beautiful campground. Left there on Sunday and went to Niagara Falls, Canada. Lots of nice roads heading there. Cut across to Detroit, through Ontario. Route 401 is horrible, so we took route 3. Not a very scenic route. Did like Leamington, Canada. Next day went down to Point Clinton, Ohio, took the ferry over to Put in Bay. Lots of cool bars including some great swim up bars. Got to Chillicothe, Ohio Wednesday morning for the Easy Rider rodeo. This was our 4 favorite days of the summer. Total circus. Lots of good riding around Chillicothe, Hocking Hills. Routes 22 and 50 to name a few. 480 mile ride home on Sunday. Only rode a total of about 1900 miles this vacation, but the party at Chilli was out of control.

Hey hooter ---- I'm only about 75 miles north of Northumberland. How many bikes were there? Never been to a rally because I never thought I'd enjoy being at a "thousands-of-bikes" rally. Probably oughta go to one sometime & see what it's like. Pain-in-the-neck for parking, and getting in & out? Where was it? Up at Shikellamy Park?

Pa rally on the river is actually at splash mountain campground. There are only about 1,000 people at that campground. You can go to pariverontherally.com and check it out. Everything is at the campground. It's way different than any other rally, but it's alot of fun and we laugh alot. Have to say there is a lot of good riding around that area.
