is there any way around the clousure witrhout avoiding hwy 1 all the way from san luis obispo? i saw something about naciemento fergusson road, but that still cuts out a big portion of hwy 1 coast run I was planning for late June. thanks in advance for the help.

It will be repaired by late April the bypass you mentioned will take about 2 hours

thare is anthor slide south of Gorda. that isolates Big Sur from either direction

Nacemento fergison road is a awesome road to take. Shouldn't take too long for them to get 1 fixed. Happens every winter.

We are riding from San Diego up the coast to Monterey. Where do we need to make the turn off to avoid the closures?

there was another slide just south of Big Sur Yesterday I don"t know how big it is.
