Looks like your coming across Wisconsin on US 8. We're an hour north of hwy 8 and will take 23 across through Hinckley and St. Cloud, MN down to Watertown and then over to Pierre. From Pierre we're thinking about heading down to the Bad Lands and cruise part of that on the way in to the campground. My friend rode most of the portion I described last year and said it was a good ride.
We're riding along the mississippi river from western ky to southern wisconsin. Then hooking up with my brother and an old buddy from the Corps. From my brothers house in southern minnesota we'll ride across southern minnesota into south dakota. Probably hop on the the interstate once we're into sd just to finish out the ride there.

san antonio to denver to pick up OL at airport. on to sturgis for a little r & r.. then beartooth pass down to yellowstone and jackson hole. spend a few days in ouray, co. and drop OL at durango airport. then take 3 days to wander back home.
I was thinking about going through Rohan to see the Elves and then maybe to Gondor but bypass Mordor.
Hahaha, that is awesome!!
Seriously though, I'd like to ride up thru Amarillo into Colorado, then north into Wyoming. On the way back ride east the entire length of South Dakota, then south into Iowa, then thru Kansas and Oklahoma.
