Default Wyoming route?

We're headed up to Wyoming as part of our Summer trip. My question is when heading East from Cody, would the best route be Northeast through Lovell or Southeast through Greybull? Both would eventually end up at Ranchester but considering roads and scenery, which would be best?

I went to Greybull then to Shell to Sherdian. But I have heard lovell is great also. You're gonna love it in the Bighorns. I became real ill on the trip and had to stay a couple of days in the Holiday Inn at Sheridan. But it was a good trip all and all.

We rode from Greybull to Shell to Ranchester and it was a great ride, I have not done the Northern route or Southern route but think any or the route across the Big HOrns will be great. I really enjoyed that ride and it was cool that unlike most mountains you switch back and fourth to the top and then right back down the Big Horns atleast on that route once you hit the top there was a big platou for several miles and the veiws were great. Enjoy your trip and hope someone else can pipe in on the other routes.

Done both routes and both are very scenic and will not disappoint. That being said I would go the Southern Greybull route as I like the ride, scenery and bighorns on that route better than the northern route. Just my 2cents tho.

Both routes are great, I like the Southern one. Do a loop then you can do both and include Shell Falls. The Bighorns are great to ride through but check for construction and road work.

Ive always preferred Highway 14 through Greybull... As the group has said, both are nice. If you have not been through the Big Horns, you will be quite surprised by the elevation and view! Coming from your direction, you will have a pretty aggressive climb with an awesome lookout at the top! My group has actually camped up top before..there is a state campground but we chose a private location just for ourselves. If you find Bald Mountain you found where we camped. Snow melt spring keeping our drinks cold and nothing but the local wildlife to keep us company! Take your time through this area...well worth it! Enjoy!

Thanks, eveyone. Sounds like I can't go wrong. I would love to try both, but we're just passing through.
