Default Help me with a trip

I have a week vacation in mid May. I can leave Monday the 16th but have to be back by afternoon on Friday. I live on the shore in NJ and am trying to think of a 4-5 day round trip from my location...any ideas?? I would like to do mostly back roads and not too many highways...the scenic route I guess. I am up for any suggestions

I don't know much about riding the East coast but I,ve heard the Cabot trail is a good one.

You could ride through the Adirondacks, or Finger Lake region in NY, ride route 6 through PA..

Cabot Trail is way to far for 4-5 days. When I lived in NJ for a trip that long I would head up the back way to the Catskills, Adirondacks then Vermont. Mid May is still a couple of weeks early though. It's just enough time to do Virginia and West Virginia.

Google Bike Route 1. It runs from FL to ME. Although designed for those darned two wheel things without rumbling V-Twins, it provides a nice route. Pretty country, off the beaten path, points of interest. Ride north or south for three days and then Interstate home. Or come down to the Outer Banks of NC.

A new motorcyclist picks a destination. An old motorcyclist picks a direction. With no destination you have no reason to press on. If the scenery is good slow down. The ride is the reason. Jetsam

Sometimes I just let the bike decide where we're going. It can get real interesting at times. Enjoy your time off!

I don't know, say maybe the second road to the left. When you're on a bike. it's not about the destiation, it's about the ride. Remember, you're only one wrong turn away from a new adventure. Some of the best scenery and roads are always in your back yard.I found keeper only 25 miles from home just last weekend.
