I would think that any on the Via Nazionale would be ok as they have parking on the street and below. If you want to stay in the old city. I'm sure any of the newer hotels outside in the business district would suit your needs. Your best bet would be to make some calls. Be sure to tour Tuscany. We did it in a car and wished we could be out of the cage. Pictures must be shared!!

Hi,I suggest you stay away from downtown as it will be a mess during that period (HD anniversary) and hotels there are not biker friendly.I would suggest you stay at one of the hotels/BBs on the south side of the city.Let me know what kind of accommodation you're looking for and dates you'll be staying.
I lived I the centre of Rome for a year and a half. I had a rental car during that time and I had to be creative to find free spots that you would not get ticketed. The city centre is also "limited traffic" During the day until 6pm if I remember correctly. It is a pain but it can be done.
Because you are visiting Rome for a short time, you will not have time to learn the streets and will need a GPS to get around. The public transit is cheap and works well, I would find a safe place to park your bike for the time you are in Rome. Then get a hotel in the area you like. My apartment was on via 4 november (connects via nationale the main square). It was nice and central and I was able to walk to most places.

I you have any questions let me know.
Is there anywhere in Rome to rent HD's for June 2013. I have been on to HD Roma and they have said to me that the nearest place is Florence
Hey Finbarr,
Have checked it out. Harleys thin on the ground that month.... but Harley outside Rome have some bikes ... Florence, Milan etc. quite expensive too.
Not sure if you're irish based (name may be a giveaway?) but if you are .... I"ve been in contact with a shipper who'll do a group discount... cost €600 or less for a return trip (Dublin - Ostia) and can let you have your bike for a few days or just the rally days... price v reasonable as they also ship your gear.
PM me if of use.
Jester.
