Default Wacky winds

Every year this time of year I ride from Tucson where i get to celebrate my grandson's birthday to San Diego, then back to San Francisco, & as much as I love the wind, I've been caught in windstorms, that just ripped me apart. Thank you folks in Ocotillo! Anyone here know a site to check for wind conditions between 2 points..so maybe I don't choose the freakin windiest day to go out?

I have several Apps that I use because the wind can be brutal. Accuweather.com gives you wind speed and wind gusts. I add the two together to get a wind "annoyance factor" and try to select days when the wind speed plus wind gusts are below 30. In June, the wind is always blowing so I try to do most of my riding from 4 AM to 1 PM to avoid the heat & wind.

There are several other sites (weather underground, my forecast, etc) but I haven't found them as accurate on predicting wind.
