Kentucky has the Land Between the Lakes, there's a road that runs through it called "the Trace" I rode it back in June, nice little scenic jaunt. There's a paddock along the road at one point that has Bison in it.

Yes and Cadize Ky is a nice place to stay also. If you ride the trace take time to stop and visit some of the places along it interesting history .
Not far out of Cadize is Jefferson Davis memorial worth a visit Fairview, KY.
Don't get there to early or a side trip to Nashville maybe needed to wait till they open.
lot to see in a 400 mile circle of where you are on a bike.

400 miles in any direction for a ride from South Central Tennessee...just pick a direction and either way you'll not be disappointed.
If you have never ridden Smoky Mountain national park. You are not that far away.
No way to put it in words, you may never want to leave. Run down to deals gap.
Smoky Mountain national park has no fees for driving through so you can come and go as you wish.
Hit the East side of your State and pick a road you can't go wrong.
Churchill Downs in Louisville & The Bourbon Trail. Lambert's Restaurant in Sikeston, Mo - Patti's Restaurant inGrand Rivers, Ky (ky lake area)
Super Man at Metropolis, Ill just so many places
Just seem's that most of my destinations are places to eat
In Nov/Dec 2012 issue of RoadRunner the "Shamrock" tour was "Kentucky Down Under" Caves, Corvettes and Cool Roads. My wife road down over Labor Day weekend and used this as a guide. If you are interested just PM me your email address and I will send you a PDF of the article. Enjoy and ride safe.
400 miles from south central Tennessee? I can recommend a couple of places to ride.
Natchez Trace is a great motorcycle ride. Northern end is just south of Nashville and it takes about two days by motorcycle to get to the other end at Natchez, Mississippi. You can stop at all the scenic stops on the right hand side of the road going south and then stop at all the right hand stops coming back north. It is a two lane beautiful route with controlled access with some neat draws not far off the route (i.e., Shiloh National Battlefield, Davy Crockett State Park, Vicksburg National Battlefield just to name a few). Natchez is a very cool historic riverboat town as well.
You could head west to the Arkansas Ozarks with a base out of either Harrison or Eureka Springs in Arkansas, or even Branson, Missiouri. Big Cedar Lodge is our favorite place to stay when we ride the Ozarks, but the 1929 Hotel Seville in Harrison is a neat, motorcycle friendly place to lodge. Eureka Springs is a definite motorcycle destination with some awesome scenic roads coming into town from all directions and we usually stay at the Crescent Hotel over looking the town.
