Default Trip to Arkansas

I'm very open to all recommendations regarding to a motorcycle trip to Arkansas. Places to visit, roads to ride, etc. Warnings are welcome, too. ;p

The Harrison/Eureka Springs area is great. We just got back from there.

Pig Trail highway, Moonshiner, Beaver Dam. Every motel and most other businesses have free maps with all the great roads.

We stayed at the Edleweiss Inn in Eureka Springs. Very reasonable, motorcycle friendly and close the the places you will want to ride.

We were in that area week before last and stayed a few days in Eureka Springs also.

Make sure to stop at the Cliff House Inn. About 6-7 miles south of Jasper.
Great view and food.

Ride across the single lane wooden bridge on 187 at Beaver, NW of ES.

Hwy 23 going N out of Ozark. We turned around and went back south on it.

74W out of Jasper.

Around Harrison, if the curve sign says 25mph, it's a good bet 24 would be better. I had a 85 Thunderbird turbo coup when I moved there in the mid 90's. Hwy 7, moonshine, turbo, 5 speed, and rain can cause serious problems.

I was just in this area a couple weeks ago.

Like mentioned above, Hwy 23 around Eureka Springs was excellent.
Honestly all the roads in the NW area of Arkansas was pretty good.

I road 23, 86, 13, 76 to Branson. Very enjoyable with the exception of the helmet law in MO.

Hey Zip..Don't know which way you are coming from but the area around Mt Magazine is a great place to ride and stay...Tallest point in Arkansas on Mt Magazine and they have a great Lodge there... Hiways 309 from the lodge to Hiway 10 then to Danville and Hwy 27 to US 270. 270 over into OK to 271 and then 88 which is the Talihena hwy that comes into Mena. All roads are in pretty good shape once you get out of South Arkansas, above I 30.... Be safe and holler if you make it to the Mena area.....

Oh well ... we had great plans but my buddy's bike had some issues and we were lucky to get back home without calling for a trailer. Anyhow, we had lots of fun and we are looking forward to get it done next time. I've created a webpage with short description of our trip. If you look at that page you will realize taking pictures wasn't our main goal ...

Trip to Arkansas.
