I own a 2008 CVO Road King with low mileage. I addressed these common issues when the bike had less than 5K miles because of some of the horror stories. I did cam bearing and lifter when I did the cams, and then did the heads to have beehive springs and better valve guides. I ported them and shaved them for more compression while I was at it. I'm glad I did as I get peace of mind. We also have a very short riding season here so don't want to deal with engine overhaul mid season. Now I just need to ride more!
I did the same plus a bit more, bottom end treatment (the works) via DarkHorse, GMR Lifters & Cams, AV&V Beehive Vavle springs & Bronze valve guides, SE Hi-Flow Oil Pump & camplate w/new cam bearings, newest SE Comp sprocket.
Along with all new parts (everything inside) in motor, SE 117" Pro Race kit, Headswork by Don at HD Street Performance.
I trully feel and trust that I can take my Touring Rig anywhere.
My dealership just called and they are going to help me. I should get my bike back right after the parts come in. I'm very thankful I am a customer of this Dealership and Harley Davidson
