I have noticed even on my pickup the XM radio cuts out of late. Not sure what the problem is but not to impressed.
I think I found some good news regarding our reception issues. Check this link to the Sirius website: https://listenercare.siriusxm.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7199/~/why-is-audio-muting-and-cutting-out-on-my-sirius-satellite-radio%3F
I have always relocated that puck to the top of all my bikes, hated the look but I always pinched the wiring it never caused a problem. My biggest fear of cutting Into the fairing has been, If for any reason water seeped its way Into the fairing and caused and electrical Issue, your warranty will not cover It as you compromised the Integrity of the fairing. This came directly from customer service at HD.
Customer service is so full of ****. I got news flash for them, the fairing is not sealed and water will seep into fairing.
A BIG Thank You to all that suggested relocating the antenna as pictured on post #34.
I rode 225 miles to Asheville and back yesterday and then the wife and I did another 75 miles on 2 lanes near home that we have lost reception on before.
I was amazed that I NEVER lost the signal on the road. We only lost it under the gas station roof while filling up.
Right at 500 miles this weekend so far from NC up I-77 to I-81 up Virginia to I-66 to DC. Then we rode yesterday around DC and up to Laurel MD yesterday.
NOT ONE SINGLE SIGNAL LOSE THIS WHOLE TRIP SO FAR!
We are riding back home tomorrow on 29. That will be a good test. But I will be surprised in I have even two drops the whole way.
