Based on the fact that you keep your bikes a while and this is still new with the 2yr factory warranty I think youre good at $30k. Its one of thoese things, they dont make anymore new 2016 bikes. So if you want a new 2016 bike your opportunities will be limited.
Hoping to hear in the near future that you bought it.
This may be my last chance to score a new CVO at a "reasonable" price....
Yep, I do hang on to bikes for a while....bike prior (Valkyrie) to my RG had 98k miles when I sold it.....
Thanks
Been looking at 16 CVOs for a few months now. Nice find for a new one, there was one at Gengras in CT a couple months ago. Problem is once you register it, its a used one, IMO 35K is WAY too much. I would think if you could find an 18 around 35-27 ish...Arent 19s like 42? Most I would pay would be $26K OTD WITH a 5-7 year extended plan,. Best price ive seen was 22.5 with around 10K miles two months ago on the rumble on site (see below theres an awesome one there right now!). Go visit the CVO.ORG site and ask them about the TC 110. Lifters are considered to be a maintenance item to be replaced every 15K or so...some are failing sooner.
Example 1: 2016 RGCVO with 1100 miles, if you like the color I'd consider this one also...Good Luck!!! If you love that one 35K worth go for it and enjoy!!!
I just traded my 2016 CVO RoadGlide with a grenaded motor at 25K miles. I paid $32.9 for mine in Feb of 17 so thinking mid twenties $$$. The service manager told me that he has seen lifters fail in the 110' motor with as little as 5K miles. Based on my experience I would avoid the 110 motor. I have had 12 HD's and this is my first motor failure. It was a sweet bike but the 110's just have too many issues. The guy with 100K miles is by far the exception. Read on CVOHarley.com and other sites about 110 issues. Good luck.
Thanks for the info....sorry to hear of your issues.
Is it the lifters going bad, or some other component contributing to the lifter issues ??
Is there possibly a replacement lifter that could eliminate the problems ?? Better aftermarket lifter maybe ??
The stock lifters have issues but stiff valve springs contribute. They suspect mine started with lifters and took out cams, etc, ruined crank and other components. Ran so much metal through my motor that it ruined the oil pan. Bike was still under original 2 year warranty but they would not replace entire motor. Aftermarket lifters will help but still the issue of stiff valve springs will contribute. Might want to speak with your local independent mechanic to obtain an unbiased opinion. Chances are if you ask HD service people they will tell you there isn't a problem. Good luck.

I have an indy that does all work to my '08 that I am not comfortable doing....
I will most definitely bend his ear about the issues.....
Thanks again
When I left that dealership last week I gave them a price of $30k for the 2016 CVO RGU
Yesterday, they dropped it from $35k to $32.5K.....
I told them I wanted the 2 years warranty, plus an additional 3 years tossed in, and $1k in HD bucks .....
They didn't like that, so I explained that bike was $43k in 2016.....dropped 20% when the 2017 came out,
dropped another 10% when the 2018 came out, and dropped another 10% when the 2019 came out !!!
That puts the price @ $28k......I then asked about issues with the 110" motor....."Nope, haven't heard of any what so ever", was his answer.
So when I left my price was $29k with 5 years warranty and $1k in merchandise spending....
The salesman said they had more $$$$$ into it than that....and I told him I'm not paying for their mistakes.
Some sucker will pay their price, I ain't that sucker !!!
