Default Cutting out the cats??

If I cut the cats out of the stock header pipes, is it the same as buying aftermarket headers? I was looking at Vance and Hines dresser duals. I have already debaffled the stock cans.

Cutting the cat out helps, but not as much as a good designed head pipe, like a Fullac DX head pipe, of the Fuel Moto head pipe, both of which are better performers than many of the big name head pipes.

It looks to me like your more into noise than performance, seeing you removed your baffles, which kills back pressure, and low end torque, does nothing for performance but hurt it.

What year is your bike and what are you trying to accomplish.

My bike is a 2019 Black Forest. My goal is to relieve some of the exhaust heat.

Well, there are a ton of posts on the pro,s and cons of modifying exhaust systems on m8 motors. I would do some serious research before you do mods to your motor. Since you don’t seem to be in the “ I want the most performance and warranty be damned” club, understanding how the exhaust, tuner needed to bring down the heat would work is important for you.
