Thoughts on CVO Models
This may sound like its been said and noticed before. But why does it seem to offend people when they see you have purchased a CVO! So far i have gotten some faorly snide remarks from people i considered friends.
I am pretty sure its jealousy just trying to see if anyone else has had the same issue. Are they expensive? Sure. Probably something i shouldnt have done. To be honest though once i got on it was like fate. This out of all the 9 HDs i have owned this one was me. Only one thing i would change at least so far. The kick stand is a real stretch for me. I am short. Its why the Limited Low might have spoiled me. In all other aspects though this bike is a winner in every way.
Please let me know if any of you have had the ssme thing happen!! Well getting ready for another full day of riding!!

Haters gonna Hate! Your money, your bike!
I bought my bike for me, not my friends or anybody else!
Congrats and Enjoy.

Yep...me too. I had a 2014 FLHTK and loved it and I would still but I had the opportunity to throw a leg over a 2019 CVO Limited and I DID! And love the new CVO even more.
But back to your comment about snide remarks...it really starts to put into perspective who your friends REALLY are and how they feel about you. I ride with everything from broke *** white trash to freaking millionaires...and you know who will give you the most ****? The dirt bags and the riders that can't afford the gas to ride a moped.
Nearly every one of the financially strapped is in that position because of bad decisions ALL their life. We married young, we BOTH worked out asses off and invested wisely to get where we are today and now I have a CVO. Luck me, sucks to be you I say! LOL
What gripes me probably the most is when someone says "How much did that cost you??" IMO, asking a person how much something costs is the the epitome of frigg'n LOW CLASS! I was born to humble beginnings and my father would have whupped my *** for asking such a thing. Kind'a like asking "How much does your wife weigh?"
My advise is fugg'm.

Anytime anyone has anything negative to say, I tend to agree....it really deflates them....
Motorcycles are dangerous....I agree, that's actually part of the reason I ride them. The thrill is really quite addictive. As irrational as it is, and I realize it's not for everyone, I willingly take on more risk than a cager for one simple reason....it pleases me to do so.
That CVO was way overpriced (actual comment from a friend)....I agree....but there was no way I was going to be able to get...
....for what you paid for yours....so I paid more.

- a custom paint job
- the best production sound system available on a stock bike
- brake assist technology
- ABS
- keyless controls
- upgraded foot and hand controls
- screamin' eagle stage I upgrade
- etc...
....for what you paid for yours....so I paid more.
I no longer ride a CVO but will get another when the time is right. With that being said i loved my CVO, everything about it. The only bike i did nothing to because i didnt need to. When people make snide remarks its because they want one. Screw em and ride on.

Interesting to hear of this and to answer your question I have never received negative reactions to my CVOs. And I have owned many over the years. What model, year and color is yours? And yes probably your friends are jealous which that’s a given which over time they will be more forgiven.
I agree, it is jealously. I would love to be able to afford a CVO, and some day I might. I like them so much, that I put a few touches on my RK, (seat, bags, wheels, dash, rear pegs), I also like the SG tins, so on they went. I made my bike into what I felt suits me. I get a satisfaction of accomplishment working on my own bike. Some people can't. so they work harder to get the money to buy the bike already done. If your friends can't appreciate your hard work, they are not real friends.
Oh, and this:
