Using the HD Sena 30K in the mesh public mode on two different bikes with WHIM. While using mesh, the conversation is like talking at home but sometimes it gets louder and becomes very sensitive. I can hear the vibration of the boom and mike, squeaking of the helmet and even breathing from the other rider. The sensitivity sometimes is present on both or just one. Reading the manual doesn't help me. Maybe I need a 18 year old to troubleshoot.
Sapman, I was having the same issue on my 30K also. If you haven't downloaded the Sena app on your phone, I recommend that you do. Then you can Bluetooth the 30K to your phone app and see all settings. There are settings in there that I never knew about. I think I turned off the side tone and it took care of my issue. I may have also changed another setting or 2.

Sounds like you have the headset paired to the bike and your phone at the same time.
I thought that wasn't advised?

You can disconnect you phone after you adjust the setting if you want. I don't like my phone hooked up to the bike while riding. But if you don't connect the app and look at the setting, you won't know what is in there to adjust. I understand there is also a way to go on line and make the adjustments. Either way you might be surprised in all the setting you don't even know are there. Here are screen shots of the basic settings.

All those settings show up on the bikes GTS system.
You are correct, I just couldn't find configuration screen when I got the bike. When I started asking questions, I was told about the app. Since that is the way I learned, it's my go to way and I kind of forget I can adjust on the bike. Since I made my initial changes all has been good.
