Has been quite awhile since I posted. In October a dog ran out in front of me and I totaled my 2016 Ultra. After 45 years of riding and at 66 1/2 I had to decide if maybe it wasn't time to switch to 3 wheels or even a classic muscle car. After looking at every vehicle in the country was for sale, I decided I need to get back up on the horse that through me and bought a 2019 CVO Limited in the Magnetic Gray Fade. I took a real gamble and made this purchase online and sight unseen without leaving my couch, as I am still recovering from my injuries. I did do as much research as I could and had plenty of conversations with the dealer and should take delivery in a week or so.
I did notice a couple of things that have me wondering. The previous owner changed the seat to a lower one, and the only stock CVO heated seats I could fine were one in England, one in Denmark and one in the states. If anyone has one laying around I may be interested. The bike also had D&D CAT Billet header pipe and muffler, and looking at the pics I noticed that the lifter blocks and pushrod covers were black, but in all of the promotional materials I could find they are chrome (the bike is blacked out most everywhere else). Makes me wonder if perhaps the previous owner did a cam swap or something. Anyway, I am attaching a pic and if you recognize the bike or know anything about it, please let me know! The bike was originally purchased and registered in Florida. Glad to be back!
Can't help with your questions but your tale sounds much like mine.
Crash, recover, debate getting back on two wheels, bought another bike before I could even ride one again.
The only difference for me was, I bought mine locally but couldn't test ride it so had a friend do the test ride for me.
Wishing you a speedy recovery and have no doubt you'll get your questions answered fairly soon.
Good luck with your new bike and your recovery. It is a bit scary buying site unseen. I purchased my 07 CVO Road King on line (E-Bay) from a guy in La. in 2012. It worked out great. Hope it does for you as well.
