I like my CVO--that being said, it rides just like a Special just looks different--so cost wise, to each their own

Safe riding gentlemen

As for holding value. They do not if you ride them.
Then new 2023 RGL has a recycled Honda GW paint job aa 117 engine that is no better than a 114. and over 2 times the cost.
That’s right. Bore and stroke have nothing to do with displacement and power, nothing. Just like the 114 is no better than a 110, 107, 103, and so on. There’s NO difference between any of these engines. It’s all a myth. The designation of these motors, 88-117, are MODEL numbers, not size, and it’s only a conspiracy to raise prices. So really, there’s no difference between the TC 88 and the 117 M8. And my ‘68 SS 396 Camaro has no more power than the 6 Cyl Chevy 250. All a myth.😉 it’s all so “silly,” isn’t it? Almost as “silly” as someone lurking on this sub forum who thinks CVO’s are a gimmick.

The OP seems surprised (as do others) that H-D is limiting CVO production numbers this year. Actually, this used to be how the MoCo did all the CVOs back in the day. They were exclusive and very limited in numbers. They all had x/xxx for number produced right there on the dash (1 of 1000 etc). Used to also get a special presentation key, remote control everything, and a plaque that read something like (this CVO made for [Joe **** the Ragman]). Exclusivity was the name of the game. At some point all that went away and the CVOs were just another touring model with a slightly bigger engine and a tricked out paintjob.

not really true, I bought cvo’s in 2004, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2017 and last one was 2021. Each year there were 2 to 4 different cvo models each offered in 2 to 3 different color schemes. With just one model in 2023, at least so far this will be the most limited quantity Harley has produced. Btw, I am not a Harley hater, as a metric rider for 20 years and then a Harley rider for 25 years, I’ve seen the ups and downs of this company for a long time. I’m also a long term member of the cvo Harley forum and have seen several die hard cvo owners buy K1600’s and GW’s for the first time last year. I’m sticking with my road glide limited for next few years. Honestly couldn’t tell you which way I’m going to go after this bike.

One year friends we ride with had a nice GW. On the trip we swapped bike. Wife said " the GW was nice but boring."
Not long after the trip our friends trade for a Harley.
If my wife was to stop riding with me. A Gen 3 GW could find it's way to my house.

I guess I can really cross some people up by asking why they like riding brunettes when I like riding redheads.........

You are absolutely correct that there are still dealers selling the CVO at msrp. You have to go search for them, but you can find them. Some of the comments on here give me a good laugh. I would probably guess that there are people on the forum who have paid way over msrp for a new car or a pickup truck. Then the way overpriced pickup truck has some fancy cover on the bed and never carries anything in the bed other than a bag of potting soil for the wife lol.

I never pay over MSRP for any vehicle and I never will. I paid MSRP for my RG, and every other dealer I spoke with was over MSRP from 5-10K. They wouldn't even talk to me. Paying anything over MSRP is just for bragging rights of owning a high-demand or hard to find vehicle, and resale doesn't care how much was paid over MSRP.

Didn't George Santos invent the CVO back in 1872?

I will be honest can not afford a $60,000 dollar motorcycle. Reading this post apparently your all made of money. SOUNDS impressive. If you had that kind of money why not go out and get a true custom built bike? Why buy a custom cookie cutter?
