I stuck my head in here to see what was up. I love the 110 Springer. Sounds like the 110" engines are having some trouble. I just want you to know that if anyone here wants to trade for a stock 07 Low Rider I would be happy to help you.
Nope, none here either - '08 SERK at 3900mi. Except some minor items that the dealer is trying to pass off as 'normal', like squealing rear brakes, loose steering bearings and common everyday stuff like that they don't want to be bothered with....but, life is good...
ditto,I brought mine in for 1K service and said the rear brake squealed under moderate pressure. They told me they took it apart and everything looked ok, so he filed the edges off the pad and told me it should be good to go. I had to sign off on a warranty repair for it and everything. A few miles down the road I use the brakes and it squeals again. I don't care that it was under warranty & no charge, I just don't feel like going back again to "fix" it.The squeal makes itsound prettyghetto, but at least I'm not the only one. I'd be interested to hear what your final outcome is w/ the brakes, if I get mine resolved first I'll let you know.
My bike goes in monday to have the third rear cylender installed due to oil leeking head gasket. they are to fix either a primary cover or a trany oil leek . they also ordered a new starter assy. when trying to start up it sometime locks up, kicks back or grinds and clanks. they are running a map strait from the moco thatis not yet epa approved trying to solve some other issues. like dieing while turning or poping back through the intake. the eingine light comes on and off at will they say it show a code for no detanation . funny how it comes on when driving down the hwy. pluss the brake issues . but they are trying to get it right . the bike is a 07 cuse2 blk /org. i have had it since nov/06 and have put over 13,000 miles on it sence then. they say the cylender problem was a machine problem on the first one im waiting to hear what excuse the say for this one . I believe that it is an over heating problem due to the air intake, map settings, and exhaust restrickting the through put increasing engine heat (to meet EPA) on back cylender causeing it to warp and allowing oil to leak . but they will not admit to that . so every few thousand miles they will replace a rear cylender and gaskets . i hope they get tired of this and put a free flowing exhaust, sert and an screaming eagle air cleaner, all of witch i think should have been on the bike from the start. all of these parts are Screaming eagle, shouldnt they be on an "screaming eagle ultra classic ", @ 35k plus . Ithink it should have been. imo
