Nice results. It will take me awhile to save some money but I will have A sert. and diff. a/c not sure on type of a/c yet. looking into the hyper charger but not sure of the hype! (how good it works)and some slip ons or somthing?I already made A pair of baffles out of some old exhaust pipe that slips in to my stock exh.
Anyone know when the D & D Exaust will be out for the 07 Softails? I just checked their website and it talked about the touring pipes but nothing was mentioned about the Softails.
My 2007 SE Ultra dyno results
stock-76.3hp, 101.7 Torque
with SERT installed 84.8hp, 105.8 Torque
With SERT, SE Slipons and SE air cleaner, 92hp, 118.4 Torque
Tuned on a dynojet
Bike now runs and sounds great, it also runs cooler. Stock dyo results shows they are tuned very lean up to 4,000 rpm. Tuner adjusted air fuel ratio.
Glad to see some guy's with the 110 motors post their results . I got a 07 Fxwg with the 96 cu motor. I have a Se high flow air filter kit, D&D Fat Cat 2 ito 1 with the quiet baffle I had installed in August and did the sert. I got dynoed at the Woodlands Harley at 78hp and 93 ft lbs of torque, I was thinking about doing the 110 Cvo kit on my bike. wondered how much difference it would make.
I have an 08 fxdse2...have done these mods: ported heads, cometic 30 thousandths head gaskets, 10.4 compression,se257 cams, se air cleaner, supertrapp 2 into 1 exhaust, custom mappedpower commander...not sure what the horsepower and torque is, but I raced a fxstsse with a fatcat exhaust and beat him easily
here's my take on the 110 motor: there have been many reports of blown head gaskets and failed cylinders on these motors...there's no way to know what percent will have problems because the ones that are not having trouble are out riding and not complaining on the internet...also it is not in H-D's best interest to disclose how may 110's are failing
some believe that the problems are heat related, and heat can be greatly reduced by changing cams, adding an oil cooler, and proper tuningwith the fuel injection controller of your choice...I say change cams because the stock cams give too much compression and have very little overlap, which holds heat in the head
the other option is to retain the warranty by not making any changes...maybe H-D will be able to fix it if it fails...I couldn'tleave mine stock because I wanted more power than the stock motor had!
I have the 2007 FXDSE, I had the dyno run on the stock setup before any mods were made my 110" engine made 74hp at about 4300rpm and 96 foot pounds of torque at about 4800rpm. I had the cobra speedster slash cut pipes, k&n air filter upgrade, and the cobra tuner added to my bike and the numbers jummped, my engine is putting aout 103 rear wheel horse power at 42oo rpm, and 119 pounds feet of torque at 5100-5200 rpm.
And on a side note alot of other SE owners are experiencing problems with there machines, I have had only minor problems with mine, some were dealer caused, but the only real problems I have had have been with the shifter lever sticking eighter up or down, depending on the last shift postion, and the overheating problem, but I am only at about 5300 miles also.
