Thinking about pulling the trigger and getting the 2-1 fat cat with quiet baffle for 2007 ultra. Had also thought about getting the thundermax auto tuner but wondering if it is overkill if all I plan are the pipes and se air cleaner. Will pcIII work just as well? could i have it dynoed if needed to get optimum performance. Anyone else running 2-1 with various fuel systems? Would like feedback. Second question. Was thinking of the quiet baffle versus standard baffle. Will it be too quiet?
It's not worth dynoing a basically stock bike with stage 1 added, as you already know what the HP/TQ are going to be, and besides that, the cost to dyno with a PCIII will likely bump you up to the cost of a Thundermax kit anyways. Get the TMAT just in case you add something more later. Great pipe choice as well IMHO.
TMAT modules can be ordered from Bart here on the forums. His user name is (Shooter64) and he gives great prices to board members. Awesome service too, so send him a PM if you need parts. I bought from his shop, and it was an excellent transaction.
Fatcat with quiet is a very nice pipe. It still barkls when you roll on it too! I have one with a Thundermax, but also have other mods to mine and it's loud.
I have the same setup with the standard baffle. I think it is fantastic. I also think that by the time you pay for the dyno tune with the PC you will have spent close to the same as the T-Max. It is flexible if you add or change anything also. For example, I was sure that this would be all I would want. Now I am already thinking of cams or a big bore kit. At least you have that flexibility. Also, I have found Zippers tech support to be available and fast.
Glideman,
Who's 107 kit did you use? I am finding the HD catalogue a bit confusing. If you look on page 537 they show a 110 kit for the '07's with a picture of the kit and the heads have 103 stamped on them? Do they use the 103 heads on the 110 kit? What kits are available? I thought it was 103 and 107 but the HD catalogue shows 103 and 110 but I can't seem to find a 107 kit.

No it definitely won't be too quiet. I'm running an '07 Ultra w/ the "Quiet Baffle" an it ain't.
