Was doing my best to not fire up another oil thread. However I cannot with 49 years of driving car,bikes,boats...and such since I have alway ran regular oil and never had a failure till I had to rebuild my 89 Toyota 22R at 200K. It has pressed in sleeve bearing in the piston pins with full floating pins with retainers just like a Harley and the last one got about .003 play in it and it sounded like a Mack diesel idling. Ran it like that for a year. There was noting else wrong with it. Put new rings in but did not change any other bearings. That is the 6 engine I have totally been thru all with regular oil. I do run full auto syn in my Harley motor but I seldom change it. So I changing to No Yes for you.
Who's HUGO? Also I took a fast 100 mile ride today across the Bay Bridge up the Eastern Shore and my Harley temperature dip stick has gotten so loose it throws a little oil out. It's an 04. Think the Syn caused that? Any way to tighten it up.
