looking for opinions on the 2009 CVO Ultra. Local dealer has made a pretty good offer for my trade, 1995 30th Anniversary Ultra. 2009 has 9K miles. Anything in general i should look for? Bike is really clean. Never rode a 110 CVO always had the evo. Opinions appreciated. Thanks
09 and up has the new touring frame - best as of yet - bikes tracks very nice
09 is last year cvo's were not built on the assembly line but by a 2 man team, all 10's and up are now on the assembly line - just an ego thing I guess
once you get used to the 110 motor ticking like a sewing machine (normal) - no going back -
will need the compensator gear upgraded to the CVO gear - tell dealer to include it installed
prior years 110 had minor issues - 09's+ are very good power plants - maybe at 30,000 +- miles your cam chest may need upgrading
Pipes have cats in them and make the bike run somewhat sluggish and too hot - upgrade exhaust and get a new tune ... quicker, sound better, & will run cooler (even the dealer can do the upgrade)
JUST DO IT - we all did
(we ALL can't be that stupid) or are we (?)

Well said!
Also, may want to get the rear brake switch done. (there was a recall or a service bulletin regarding this)
bought the bike. Dealer is changing the pipes. They agreed that they run to hot with converters. Rear tire seems like it needs replacing. They agreed to change it also. They stated they are going to tune it on a race tuner. Mechanic working on it has many years experience and is the best in this area. Dealer is going to look into rear brake switch also. Bye-bye EVO hello CVO. Thanks for input
If it's an 09 it shouldn't have catalytic converters unless it has a California emission package ... and it has hydraulic cam chain tensioners so there no big deal there either ... all in all the 09 was/is a great scooter ... of course I'm a little biased in my opinion.

I'm told 110 bikes have the converter in the X-pipe. Pretty sure this one has one. I'll find out tomorrow.
