Default removing RTV

I have an early adjustable rake wide-glide frontend that I'm replacing the seals on.

There appears to be RTV at the bottom of my fork sliders on the inside.

Any thoughts how I might get it out without making it worse or scratching the inside surface?

thanks

A rag, wooden yard stick and some acetone is how I clean them out.

thanks to both of you for replying.

I haven't had a go at it yet. It's been a busy September.

I have picked up materials to try both.
