checking the Cometic head gasket kit buy to rebuilt the top end of my 80" 1979 shovel, noticed that the valve seals donīt match whit the olds
the heads are in the machine shop to fit new valve guides, self made like the old ones, definitely, I have new guides but I canīt find the seals, i looked for this in KPMI catalog and donīt appears, the only inscription in the seals is "CORTECO",, any suggestion? measures in photo attached
that's an old crane seal they had used years back - it is automotive BBC 3/8 stem - .500 guide top
79 was a transition period and 625 is the regular top for the seal and the Harley late seal is 625 to fit it - but its tin from most - we use the rubber seals today and a auto machine can help with that 500 if you want to stick with what you had
many thanks for the info, any suggest where I can find or any model of car engine which uses this seal?, here in Spain talk about inches is the same thing to talk about martians...
in the USA the 500 seal is very common as its the chevy V8 396 427 454 engine series
I think I have them in stock I will look maybe I can send them to you just pay the shipping as we don't use the white plastic anymore I can put then in a small bubble rap envelope and mail them
deeply grateful to you, but is not necessary, following your indications, Iīve found several items in the web, amazon send me a set of crane cams 99828-16 for twenty bucks ,shipping and taxes included
thanks again
