This is what it looked like when I pulled the cam. I’m 99% sure it’s correct because this was the only way all 3 timing marks lined up. Why is there another timing mark on my pinion gear? (Yes the cam is grungy. The rest of the cam is clean and I’ll clean the breather before it goes together)
the three timing marks look correct and the notch in the end of the cam ( what ever ignition parts you hang on it ) is at the right visual spot your good to set end play we have an old used gasket for the cam cover but if you install the cam cover new gasket and leave it over night it will be very close to final install thickness -
