Well the ole b.tch got its turn on the table tonight ......now cleanup these parts . Swap, wheel bearings and brake pads..new battery. See how far we get tonight
see how far I get tonight before I crap out. Lmao....
when i pulled my primary apart, oil tank out etc.... i found that between the rear frame downtube and the oil tank the wiring had chaffed and was exposed. i was so glad that i found that one .... I'm a Pastrychef by trade, so i took my inner primary to work (my own business ) and placed in the oven at 350 for about ten minutes , the bearing fell out and the new one slotted straight in ........ i like it when they do that...putting it all back together was straight forward , no dramas after that, like it when they do that too

You find all sorts of good stuff pulling 40-50-60 year old bikes apart.... The inner bearings I have done...slight tap and they come out. I think I only had one in all my years I had to press out ..but u need to be careful. Can crack inner primary. Putting the new style in is a piece of cake .All my bearings and races go in freezer night before. They fall inLol.
This forum BS is getting too much.....autocorrect changes everything u write...wtf....gotta proof read and edit 5 times. Wonder why only here...

I am sure most know this. But simple seal and bearing race drivers made in just a few min. Weld washer and bolt on to old bearing race than spin on a grinder ,flapper wheel...I have lathe. 2-5 thou off makes a good driver if your sockets dont fit.. I freeze all my bearings, bearing races.... they slide in 2-4 hits. Also if you have a welder. Weld a washer into a stubborn bearing race that bang it out quick while hot....comes out easy. Do all neck bearing like that so no damage in neck...l
And yes there is a block of wood under the hub...lmao

Reason: Because
Don't think the auto-correct feature is a forum setting but in your application settings such as windows and the like. You can disable that feature. I too have to edit multiple times to even understand my own post...but that is just me typing badly.. No wonder I can't understand what some posters write..lol
Damn you guys with old bikes also seem to own vintage cars and trucks shown in pics in the background....I am envious.

Trying to get away from ( customer)vintage, antique, hot rods .....with all the fake TV shows now evebody is a builder. lol. Tell them we dont give quotes but charge by the hour ....well such and such does ....stop them rite there and tell them go see them. Lol. At this time most cant afford to build from scratch and end up with even 35 % of return if they decide to get out. Warn them at the start....if u think 35-80k? It will end up 75-200 k. Lol. Still take care of ones I have done in last 35 years..
thanks Ill have to Figure auto correct...... this only took 10 mins too post.lmfao
you can tell them but they bring it up when ever they need to spend again, as they cheeped out and wanted china garbage because they were not going to keep it 2 years later - that is
when that happens I ask them to find someone else as I don't have time or a - safe space room with elevator music for them

Some people fall in love with a life style but dont want to do the dance to get there... 10 min job on tv is sometimes weeks.
the ole saying cheap...fast..or good.....cant have them all unless u want to do it yourself.... but telling you nothing u dont already know . The markets goes into correction pretty soon....collector bikes and cars will demand higher prices again....not now
Why is it the tiny little clean up jobs get bigger lmao....... figured better cleane oil tank out real good. Junk all the oil lines. Next thing I know I hand the oil pump out...drilled and tapped hole for chain Oiler and primary chain Oiler and plugged since I did away with those. Plugged primary oil return in motor..figured all set. Nope looked at the starter had to wonder what was inside lol. Yep it needed to be rebuilt. Cut the arm.. At least I had the brushes bearings and bushings....cost a whole 8- 12 buck to rebuild ......I guess I need to stop now and just slam it together ...... lol
Gonna ride this SOB before Friday is over ...lmao
