I have - but check that sprocket is on the correct way some that is backwards - look at it to see an off set or not
I was looking at that. Flat on one side offset in other. Original sprocket was flat on both side so I am guessing flat goes to trans side. But I’ll finish up wheel and hang chain and look before I lock it down........thanks for noticing. Back out to shop and work on it for a few hours with nobody around....l
Hey John ...not going for point bike. But going to try to fix stuff a little at a time to close original. Brake anchor bracket. Flat. Grey or black. Anyplace other than picking your brain with everything I can look.. don’t know if I have original fender. Or even colors. This will be good practice as I always hated restoration after one 57 Chevy got picked apart by and idiot that was born 30 years after it was built.... never did another point car. 65 years old I guess I am mellowing. ....nah. Lmfao

foot control stuff was almost always black / cadmium finish so many have chrome everyone thinks that is correct
I have always made a habit of not judging anything I own while I own it < reason everything is for sale and part of owning a collectable is to have the judging done
so for me its a selling point and my answer is it would score very well no numbers
It's a shame that there are those out there that like to prove themselves by picking apart your builds...
Hey it was entered too be judged...lol. Just turned me off with how bad judging was. On the hot rod/ street rod scene I have many customer award winner... lol
This was the first night I brought my 77 to bike night...
The nice thing was nobody picked my bike apart.... Lol....
There's a lot of things on it that aren't original....

most are driving twinkle look alikes and have no idea what it was < but as long as its shiny
the dealer bike shows and judging attendance will pick the best at show > the one that has chrome tires
Most will know this. But I have changed a bunch of crank seals. Everybody tells me how hard it is. Or use screws ...BS...I have always used this method to remove seals on peterbilts,Briggs and Stratton’s Harley’s. Never failed. Screw driver around inside edge all the way around a couple times NOT even trying to remove . It eventually shrinks outer ring and just pops out. Don’t touch the soft case and try not to pierce seal..Cleanup spacer if not grooved .( or replace..just measure thickness some suck lately) Than years ago had to make this 1 7/8 clutch nut remover socket in Ohio helping a friend. SOB if it if it didn’t fit the engine case perfectly ( tractor supply). Kept it and brought it home . Ones I made in past never fit. Snap on Mac and sears. Took a seal down to tractor supply the other day with a friend. Sure enough it was the same. So we made him one( good friend).
Oh well out to shop see if we can’t start putting **** back on instead or taking off...lmao
