Thanks for the great ideas, gents. I'm trying John's suggestion right now. Zip tied the brake lever. If that doesn't work. I'll try johnjzjz's suggestion and hang it. If that doesn't work, I'll trade places with it.

And... we know that the Clamps Must match the system... O-ring or Rubberband ???
clamps are Not "one size fits all"

Bleeder nipple is seated. Think I found my problem. Got home and cut the zip tie. Brake’s still spongy so started squeezing the handle slowly to see if I could get air out. Noticed dampness at the brake line inlet. Using russell braided steel line and had to use an adaptor

not to hijack the thread, but about the sumping. my question is when the oil drains from the tank into the engine, is there the possibility of damaging the engine when you crank it from all the oil in the bottom..........like cracking the case or any other damage? do I crank it and let it simply blow out until it starts circulating back into the oil tank? I have an 80 flt that ran fine when I parked it about a year ago. it was leaking oil and I parked it to eventually get a gasket set to fix the oil leaks..........time flies. I do have the parts now and I was checking the oil tank and seen none in it

Do Not put any oil into the Tank... do Not have anything... Nothing in/on the Breather line... this is Important... vent direct to a Pan [or I use the ground for Dust control]
Cranking an old Shovelhead with the Spark plugs out, is begging for the solenoid to stick!!! and the compression does Not hurt the Function of the Timed breather...I remove the white wire from the coil to prevent ignition until it is desired.. Note; generally the Off/run switch will kill power to the Starter button, as Stock.
Keep yer battery 100% and go to letting the poor thing divest itself of congestion... This is one of those places I am grateful for a Kicker!!!!
BTW It will start circulating back to tank, on the first crank... just that it needs to get rid of a Bunch of excess as well!!! So I have... if overly concerned, removed the return hose from the tank, and cycled that oil directly into a Container... vs having an oil filter Restricting that as well!!!!
Don't sweat running out of Lubrication... long as ya dont go no riding off anyplace... all is good
Hijack Over... and next time Research Sumping, and start yer own thread... You have been admonished!!!
