if the lower unit is sumped the starter takes a very big load to crank the engine - so make sure its topped off before starting and leave the charger on till it runs
put a pan under the vent hose location as it will not if it spits oil out - you did not have it running long enough but the starter screws effed you in this - again the stupids
be prepared to ride it as it comes to a stop with the oil pumping out of it - be mindful it will leave a trail behind it that will take 8 Months to go away - someone could call the epa be careful its not 1954 > and they will charge you plenty for the inconvenient incident
My ole 75 puked oil on the driveway.....it still was there after winter. But i cleaned it up...i jumped in the loader removed the driveway one morning...wifey was horrified when she came home....but didnt bitch about me spilling oil again lmfao.
that's because you live in a place that is environmentally psychotic - and you really need professional help not thinking that was a bit over the top
but then again replacing the black top with Italian marble was a ***** e thing to do
Around here driveway removal not a big deal....all the equipment just laying around. Plus that was always my real job....Talk about environmentally psychotic? Made a ship load of money years ago ( trucking/fabrication)dragging scrubbers and other epa mandated crap to your state for many years that was wortless and a joke.....lmfao...
Marble is only for you rich bastards....we cant afford that chit here...........
Yes, ran the bike with the inspection cover off and saw oil flood the primary. Took apart the primary and found that the two screws that hold the stator wireing in place were not there. The end of the plug closest to the rotor got chewed up. Even if the screws were in there it looks like the rotor would still chew up the plug that goes into the case. ???
There's a little plastic clip that goes with those tiny screws, it's not there the plug will push back into the case causing a couple issues like the stator wires getting ate and the regulator plug contacts burning out.
