I'm contemplating going back to hydraulic lifters. 1 of the 4 i took out when i changed to solids is bad so I'm thinking i should replace all four at the same time so i know what i got. Any opinions or recommendations on which ones?
Reading thru older threads, I saw Johnjzjz mention some have a hole in the top (that's what i have) and some do not. Can someone educate me on what this is about? What's the difference/purpose?
ok this is the deal - v twins book on line as a guest put the numbers in then tap the lifter body to bring page 2 then again page 3 or it will say more info

the guy that owns, and builds, VelvaTouch lifters is a buddy of mine.
I have Velva Touch in two different cone shovels. Great stuff. I have one set with shovel cam and one set with evo cam. Fast ramps and high lifts are not an issue. I absolutely abused the 96” with the velva touch. Both oil the top end through the pushrods and are very quiet.
I have not run the Vulcan works, but have a friend who has been running them on his shovels for years. I hear it is best to call them rather than rely on their e-commerce site. https://secure.vulcanworks.net/store...ovelheads.html
Dave Bassford runs VelvaTouch by himself, probably because he's obsessed with perfection. He doesn't have a marketing department. Give him a call. Leave a message and he WILL call you back. Great guy.
