Did that too when i rebuilt the carb. Going to get rid of the EI and run points with a new coil and battery. Hopefully have it running sometime in the next few days.

Changed that piece of **** EI and coil put in points and a new coil along with plugs and wires.
3 kicks latter fired up! first time in 15 years.
Not one word of advice worked from this form!
Now I don't have to read peoples political views!!!
