Where I'm at, in 2015 it snowed solid from feb 14-march 15th, 16 feet was the official total and drifts were much higher. Everything was closed for almost a month and the news was telling kids not to touch the power lines as you could walk right to the tops of the poles.
No, oh no and Hell no !!
Snow around here used to involve a mirror and women of questionable morals
Well, this may be the thread that I can't not follow.. like watching a serial tv show, the suspense of waiting to see the final solution keeps me tuned in

me to who was the murderer. got that bloody nut off yet ?
Ask around the bunch you ride with and some one bought one 18 volt Milwaukee 1/2 inch - its quick work for that gun i bought 3 just in case we brake 2 or them
Just broke free a compensating sprocket nut today on my buddy's 1986 FLT. We're pretty sure the last guy DROWNED it in lock-tite.
Heated the nut with a propane torch for 2-3 minutes, and then hit it with the Milwaukee 18v cordless impact. johnjzjz isn't joking: that nut came loose like a dream.
If we knew the OP's address and which flower pot he keeps the house keys hidden in, we could nip over there and get that damn nut off ourselves. It sure would save a lot of aggravation. All we need is a couple cases of beer and that Milwaukee 18v impact gun.

Gent I work with came up tapping on my truck window last Thursday before work. Hands me a brand new Milwaukee 1/2" big impact and 2 batteries still in the packaging, early retirement present he said.
I don't think so. Have you ever actually cut one in half? What good did it do? The threads are Internal on the nut and about 1-1/2" long. Please give details.

Use the abrasive cut wheel for the dremel and cut only deep enough at about 3 different places about 120* apart. Then carefully use a small hammer and chisel on each cut to weaken the nut enough to fall away from the threaded stud. Be deliberate and as accurate on the depth of the cuts as possible..
