Default Riser bushings

Going to order some new riser bushings. Let's get some opinions and experiences with what ever brand you think is the best . . . and GO!

Any of the poly bushing I've had from Taiwan Teds to the pricier brands have been fine on the shovels with tall bars. Rubber go dealer on them, cheaper imports are trash. I've been using the Midwest or Jireh's for years with no issues.

Gonna follow this thread. The front end on my Shovel has a slight rake and 8" over tubes. Many many years ago I THINK I put poly bushings in there to replace the solid steel ones that were on the bike when I got it. Lately I've noticed that the left handlebar is higher than the right when going straight from the years of stress lifting the bike off the side stand.

Don't want to put the solids back in but hopefully a good set of polys will straighten the bar out again. My old mechanic would always give me grief about that front end making it hard to set the bike up ad ride it through a parking lot. I always told him it was a welcome trade off for the extra stability at speed.

Not sure how long my existing ones have been on the bike. I'm thinking they are original 1979 OEM, right now they smush like a wet sponge. I'm learning to stay away from the cheap stuff when it comes to shovelhead parts (or any parts for that matter). My riser top clamp cracked in 2 places the other day. After investigation I believe it's a result of my bushings turning to mush. Too much stress for that top piece riser clamp to take.

Any experience with the difference between 3 piece or 4 piece risers? Since I'm replacing the bushings I started looking at the difference between 3 and 4 piece risers.

3 pc will hold the bars square with the upper tree better than the 4pc will. I've alway had trouble with the individuals allowing the bars to to twist unless I used solid bushings. The old pot metal diecast and cast alum sets will warp or pull threads over time particularly with taller bars. Helicoiled a lot of the diecast for peeps. Billet stuff while pricey is the **** for a solid feeling set of risers

PS with the poly bushings only thing varies on them I've seem is the price so don't think your getting a better product if they cost more.
