Looking at Joe's ride, it's definitely had the forks cut. Chop the forks and raise the bars.

While I love the original SuperGlide Tank... there is something Elegant about the FXS (and Old Pan) 3-1/2's.. the 5-gal?? great, on an FL... IMO

I'm not buying they cut 2" off the tubes, even if they have a tooled up machine shop and the right size tap to redo the top of the tubes labor would be over an hour alone, math isn't working out there.

That's smacks of one of those " extra charges " laid on by some shops to look legit but is covering something else they blew the estimate on.


I'll add an edit to this after thinking a bit, they probably cut the spacers or the springs inside the tubes to drop the frontend. that would make sense.

Spring modification makes the most sense... if Anything...as stated.
cut 2" off spring...put that 2" under the Damper... instant lowering kit!!!
