I've had this bike sitting in the shop for about 3 years and got it on a two bike deal. It sat in a lean-to cover down on the coast of SE Texas for about eight years. It is rough. We are going to bring it back to life. It is a 1981 FXE. I've already started to peal back the leaves of the onion.
There is a whole lotta bike there! I wouldn't mind owning it. There is some questionable engineering there to sift out. Cool project. Heck it even has an S&S Carb of some type.
Memory ain't what it used to be... But, That looks like a Chicane Wheel, by PM.. Nice Dragbike Equipment...shame they quit 'em!!
Might be the Angle or my own nostalgia... but that sure looks like a Wide Tree/NarrowGlide fork setup from??? awhile back.. If so... me wonders who made the rotor spacers?? We used a local Machinist...$$$$
Darnnit: Memory is the F... second thing to Go... Thinking that for the right Money.. there was a "kit" for widening the Narrowglide...came with a Wheel that "looked" like a Chicane!! Now I am Doubly curious..
