Going to go look at a non running FXB-80. Been sitting for decades. Tanks are bad, wrinkle black on jugs need to be redone, bad carburetor. Needs battery. All I know so far. Bringing a battery. Photos to follow. Asking 5K plus. Sounds like a lot of work. Its only worth what someone is willing to pay, any suggestions what you would pay?

Only going to be worth between 4-5K when you get it fixed up.
Brake Fluid flush, maybe rebuild master cylinders and calipers
New tires
Carb rebuild or replace
Battery
Other issues.
With the other stuff you stated, It would be a 1K - 1.5K bike at the most with the labor involved.
If it is not running, I would tell them it is a parts bike at best - if it had a clear title.
Im guessing seals are hard too, fork rebuild, battery, cables, brake lines, bushings. I thought finished value would be more though (not saying its worth what they are asking)
I like basket cases, most my bikes started life that way, always wanted a Sturgis. I'd probably skip this one if wasn't stupid cheap.
Safe bet the bikes nowhere nere stock anymore and the been sitting part means it's going down to the frame and gone through completely just to get it back to rideable condition much less a real restore. Some parts for it are going to be problematic to find too.

Yes. I tried pulling it up on Ronnie's and it's not listed. A quick parts rundown on Dennis Kirk had me at about $2600 in parts alone
